    The product filmed with light, angles and movement that show shape, material and use.

  2. 02

    Product film in 3D

    The product built in 3D, where we decide exactly how the light falls: animations, stills and banners from the same model. That is how the Whitening Pen for The Humble Co was made.

    Film with people

    The product in use, filmed outdoors or in a studio, with models or actors. For Humble the commercial was shot out on the street, where it is allowed to be a bit rawer.

    Product images

    Clean product images for web shops and ads, photographed or built in 3D.

    Many films in one day

    If you have many products we plan the day like a pit stop in Formula 1. For Lyko that became 21 films and a lot of images in one single shooting day.

02Process

How a product film gets made

  1. 1

    Brief and product

    Tell us about the product, who it is for and where the film will be shown. Bringing the product or a CAD file to us is a good start.

  2. 2

    Film or build

    We choose what suits the product, filmed, 3D or both, and show the idea before we make the whole film.

  3. 3

    Edit, sound and images

    The film is edited and sound-designed, and you get stills and banners from the same work.

  4. 4

    Delivery

    Finished files in the formats your channels need. You give feedback and publish.

What does a product film cost?

From SEK 10,000 for a simple animation of a product image, about two working days, up to a campaign with several films and images. What decides it: whether the product is filmed or built in 3D, how many films and formats you want and whether people are in it. The price is fixed before we begin.

What is a product film?

A product film is a short film that shows a product, how it looks and how it is used. It is used on the website, in ads, at trade fairs and in sales meetings.

Should the product be filmed or built in 3D?

It depends on the product and what the film should do. Filmed gives reality and people. 3D gives full control over light and environment and can be reused from many angles. Often we mix: in the Humble launch the product was made in 3D and the film with people was shot out in the city.

Do we need a 3D model or a CAD file?

It helps but is not required. A CAD file or the original artwork of the packaging saves time. Otherwise we build the product from images and measurements. If an idea needs a model we say so straight away, and what it costs, before we begin.

What does a product film cost?

A simple animation or a product image in 3D starts at SEK 10,000, a shooting day or a 3D film at SEK 40,000 and a campaign with several films and images at SEK 65,000. The price is fixed before we begin.

Can you make many product films at once?

Yes, but it takes planning. Lyko is the example: 21 films and a pile of images in a single shooting day.

Do we get stills too?

Yes. From the same shoot or the same 3D model you get film, stills and banners.
